Happy Halloween! So if you are in desperate need of a cheap, quick last minute costume then you are in the right place. For Halloween this year I dressed up as a cat, all I bought for this costume was the black cat ears which only cost $3 at Target. To start with I applied my foundation as normal, and then I decided to wear a coppery orange shade of eyeshadow to go with the Halloween theme.
Then I applied my black eyeliner in a cat eye shape, wore a lot of mascara, and filled in my brows. Next I took my black eyeliner and drew a cat shaped nose and some cat whiskers on my face. To finish hair and makeup I applied some deep plum lipstick, and then took my 3/4 inch curling iron to create a tight messy curl. For my outfit I just got some clothes I already owned in my closet. I wore a oversized black sweater, some black leggings, a black collar with some studs on it, and back boots. I really love the way this costume turned out, it was cheap, easy, and the end result of adorable! -k.sha
Hello, so with Halloween officially only one day away I couldn't think of anywhere better to go for lunch than IHOP, and order one of my favorites Pumpkin Pancakes! I love anything pumpkin as you are probably well aware of but IHOP's Pumpkin Pancakes are always at the top of my list. Today I ordered the combo which came with two Pumpkin Pancakes, two eggs, which I ordered fried hard, hash browns, and turkey bacon, and if you can believe it all that food was only $7.99! I love IHOP's Butter Pecan Syrup, and I think the Butter Pecan and Pumpkin flavors go together so well. So I like to lightly drizzled my pancakes with the Butter Pecan syrup. I love how flavorful the pancakes are you can really taste the pumpkin, and they are so moist! I never turn down and opportunity to go to IHOP and order Pumpkin Pancakes! -k.sha
Hey! So I recently have tried the new bareMinerals bareSkin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer, and I absolutely love it. In the past I had always used bareMinerals Correcting Concealer, but when they came out with the new bareSkin concealer I really wanted to give it a try, and I am sure glad I did. For someone who is in a hurry while getting ready in the morning this product is for you, it glides on super fast and then you just take your finger to blend it in. I also really like how light this product feel on my skin, but it gives such a full coverage. I always apply this under my eyes or on any blemishes I may have, and when I am done my skin look flawless. If you haven't tried bareMinerals bareSkin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer you are defiantly missing out! -k.sha
Hey all today the temperature was actually a little warmer, and though I love fall it felt nice to be able to wear something more springy. So I wore a new top I just recently got from Aeropostale, I was really drawn to this top by the colors, the baby pink and the grey. The top is more flowy, buttons down the front, and has some lace details. I wore this top with a grey tank top and some white capri pants, I also wore white sandals and a grey statement necklace that has a white flower on it to pull the look together. I curled my hair and pulled two pieces back, and for my makeup I wore grey eyeshadow, and a pink lip color. I really liked the way this outfit turned out! -k.sha
This fall boot cuffs have became my new favorite accessory! You may be asking yourself what is a boot cuff? I wasn't sure either when I first saw them, but they are actually pretty awesome. Basically they are cuffs made of a sweater material, that you wear under your boots to make it look like you are wearing a boot sock. I got three pairs of them so far, two pair I got from Target and are a thick sweater material, with two brown buttons on them, and I got them in the colors black and grey. I also got a pair from Journey's, this pair is a thinner sweater material, has two tinny buttons, and it is trimmed in a tan lace. I thought all three pairs of these boot cuffs where different enough to go with different outfits throughout the fall and winter! -k.sha
Over the past few years fall has become one of my favorite seasons, I love every thing about it, the food, the weather, and the clothes. So today I totally embraced the "fall" look. My whole outfit was basically planned around my scarf, I love this scarf, I found it at Forever21 for only $6. What a great deal right? The red, navy, and tan plaid fabric really caught my attention. With the scarf I wore a boyfriend sweater I got a few years back from Aeropostale, I can truly say this is one of my favorite items in my closet, I wear it all the time in the fall and winter. With the scarf and sweater I just wore a basic navy tank top, and some light wash jeans. I also wore some super cute tan boot cuffs I recently got from Journey's, and also my new Madden Girl boots, that I also just purchased at Journey's. For hair and makeup I just curled my hair, wore some brown and gold eyeshadow, and a berry lip to finish the look. -k.sha
Lately I have found a new obsession with blue eyeliner. I have learned that a great blue eyeliner can really brighten up your eyes! The trick is to find a shade a blue that is really dark, and from far away it almost looks black, but up close you can tell it is blue. My favorite blue eyeliner is NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner, in the shade Deep Royal Blue. It glides right on, I love the thickness of the pencil, but most importantly the shade of blue is perfect. If you have never tried wearing blue eyeliner I really recommend giving it a try! -k.sha
I love Halloween, it is such a fun time of year! You get to dress up, eat candy and delicious pumpkin goodies, and decorate your pumpkin. Typically like most people I usually carve my pumpkin, but I hate how I have to wait so close to Halloween to do it, plus it is a mess that never turns out exactly how I wanted it to look. So this year I decided to paint my pumpkin, instead of just painting it alone I go this pretty awesome kit from Target, it had paint in it with rhinestones and stick on bats. The paint was almost metallic looking, and the bats are almost 3-D, since they stick out form the pumpkin. I loved the way this pumpkin turned out and I plan on buying a kit at Target like this again next year! -k.sha

I am loving Threshold's new plaid line this year for fall at Target. They seem to have almost a section in each department dedicated to plaid, and to someone who loves plaid it is tempting to buy everything. Out of all the plaid things Target got in this year I was most drawn to there dishes, they had mugs, plates, bowls, cutting boards, and everything else you can imagine. I ended up getting two super cute plaid bowls, one a medium size and one a small size. Also this "K" plaid monogram mug made it's way into my shopping cart, I have always been into thing that are monogramed, because it makes something feel more personal. I had also been looking for a Ceramic Single Serve Coffee Brewer so when I found this one I knew I had to have it. Threshold's new Plaid line at Target is really adorable, and I am in love with all the stuff I got! -k.sha
I love ice cream, who doesn't? One of my favorite places to get ice cream from is Baskin Robbins, so when I heard they where coming out with a Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream for fall I knew I wanted to try it! This flavor consisted of pumpkin ice cream and cheesecake ice cream swirled together with ginger snaps cookie pieces and a cinnamon cream cheese. I really enjoyed this ice cream, the only thing I think I would prefer is if there was more pumpkin ice cream and less cheesecake ice cream. Have you tried Baskin Robbins Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream? If so did you like it? -k.sha
I don't know about you but I love makeup, I can't get enough. Unfortunately I have always had sensitive skin which has made wearing makeup tough, because a lot of different brands will break my skin out. I have pretty much tried every makeup brand you could think of, and always end up back wearing bareMinerals foundation. The two particular bareMinerals products that work the best on my skin is the Ready SPF 20 Foundation, which is like their original foundation only in a pressed compact, and the Prime Time Brightening Foundation Primer, this helps the foundation stick, and gives your skin a nice glow. bareMinerals works really well for my sensitive skin, and it also covers really well while maintaining a natural finish. I really recommend bareMinerals foundation for anyone with sensitive skin, I know I plan to keep using these products in the future! -k.sha
Hey all I don't know about you but I am all about pumpkin season, and one of my favorite parts has always been all the delicious pastries. But now that I am trying to eat mainly gluten free it makes it hard to find any pastries let alone anything pumpkin. Today I made Gluten Free Pumpkin Spice Cake Bites, to have on hand when I want a sweet treat. These actually started out as Pumpkin scones, but they turned out way better and more moist than scones, so I decided to call them cake bites. The two star ingredients of this recipe are Gluten Free Bisquick, and Libby's Easy Pumpkin Pie Mix. First preheat you oven to 425, then mix together your 16oz box of Gluten Free Bisquick with your 30oz can of Libby's Pumpkin Pie Mix, and add 1 teaspoon of Pumpkin Spice. Once you finish mixing take a pan and cover it in tin foil, then lightly spray with a cooking spray(I used Pam Coconut Oil, but whatever you prefer is fine). Next scoop some of your batter out, into small bite size pieces and place it onto the pan, then it is ready to be put into the oven for 15 minutes.
While your Cake Bites are in the oven cooking away to perfection, the next step is to make some Pumpkin Spice Glaze. This step is optional if you would prefer not to make the glaze you can sprinkle your Cake Bites with Powder Sugar. I actually did half of mine in the Pumpkin Spice Glaze, and half with Powder Sugar. For the Glaze all you need to do is mix together in a bowl 1 cup of Powder Sugar, 1 tablespoon of Pumpkin Spice, and 2 tablespoons of water. Around the time you finish your Glaze the Cake Bites should be done cooking, and be ready to remove from the oven. When you take the Cake Bites out of the oven let them cool before putting any Glaze, or Powder Sugar on top. I loved how these Gluten Free Pumpkin Spice Cake Bites turned out and I really hope you do too! -k.sha
